This gold doubloon is a half escudo. It was minted at the Madrid Mint by Assayer DV in 1786. The coin bears the likeness of Carlos III on the obverse with the stylized shield of Spain on the reverse the coin is mounted into a 14 kt. yellow gold ring size 7 1/4. There are two full cut nice emeralds on each side of the coin. This is a marvelous piece of historical Spanish Treasure in a modern setting for the discerning buyer.
