This two reale was minted at the Mexico City Mint during the reign of Phillip V, 1700-1715. The obverse features the shield of Phillip V of Spain. The reverse features the Florenzada Cross unique to coins from the Mexico City Mint. This coin was found on North Colored Beach and is accompanied by the original Mel Fisher/Cobb Coin Company certificate with raised seal. Original coins with these original Fisher certificates are becoming very hard to find and are quite collectible. There was an original old price tag of $145 from 1992 on this coin when we received it.
