This 18 kt. yellow gold toothpick is the same as those that were found on the Atocha
and other famous Spanish Treasure Galleons. They were carried by the wealthy passengers
to help with dental hygene, as there were no toothbrushes around during that period.
That is right, they picked their teeth. This is a replica of a 400 year old toothpick.
It has been rendered identical to those from the galleons using the lost wax process.
There is a cupid holding a bow and arrow at the top, with the toothpick part down
belw. This is a truly historical piece. It measures 1 1/2 inches long. There is
a bale at the top for wearing. Everyone in Key West wears one, at least all of the
treasure hunters and treasure lovers. Remember, I am from there.
